Kelly Amato, Speech-Language Pathologist

Kelly has worked with children, adolescents and adults in private clinic and both public and private school settings. Populations served include, but are not limited to: Developmental Speech and Language Delays/Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Motor Speech Disorders (e.g. Apraxia of Speech), Intellectual Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Aural Rehabilitation, Accent Modification, and Voice Disorders.  Kelly graduated from Lynchburg College in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Psychology.  She went on to receive a Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from George Washington University in 2009.  She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed through the Virginia Department of Health Professionals Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.   Kelly has been serving students at the Sarah Dooley Center for Autism at St. Joseph’s Villa since July 2012.
