SDCA students participate in Field Day at The Steward School

Our Sarah Dooley Center for Autism students had a great time at The Steward School's Field Day held on May 25th.  A fun-filled morning playing kickball, volleyball, baseball, and ping pong, as well as face painting, cookie decorating, and exploring science stations made it a day to remember. Collegiate students provide week of service to Sarah Dooley

Collegiate School's Community Engagement Week turned out to be a very special time for Sarah Dooley Center for Autism students. Students get hands-on at the Children’s Museum of Richmond

One of the most distinguishing aspects of the Sarah Dooley Center for Autism is our priority of giving students learning experiences out in the community.  Our students learn how to interact with people and behave in settings like the Children's Museum, increasing their probability for meaningful community engagement and independence as they grow.  And, it makes for a fun field trip!     

St. Joseph’s Villa hosts VAISEF Legislator’s Day

Today we welcomed Delegate Lamont Bagby, Legislative Assistant to Delegate Jennifer McClellan Abbey Phillips, local educational agencies and parents for VAISEF Legislator’s Day (Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities). We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve as a host site where everyone could participate in conversation about how private individualized education strengthens students, families and communities.
