Villa to host clinical training workshop on assessing and diagnosing autism, Apr 25-26
In partnership with the VCU Department of Psychiatry and Virginia Treatment Center for Children, St. Joseph’s Villa will present a two-day clinical training workshop on using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2).
The workshop will be held April 25-26, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. each day at St. Joseph’s Villa (8000 Brook Road, Richmond, VA 23227), during Autism Awareness Month.
Through instruction and live demonstration, you will:
- Learn how to incorporate information gathered through ADOS-2 administration into a comprehensive ASD assessment.
- Learn how to administer the ADOS-2 Diagnostic Tool.
- Interpret/score results using consensus scoring.
- Learn how to apply results to interventions/IEPs.
ADOS-2 can be administered by teachers, psychologists, social works, speech language pathologists, OT/PT, physicians, special educators, and related professionals.
